As part of reforming the structure of the administrative branch of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority, the Finnish Transport Safety Agency Trafi and certain functions of the Finnish Transport Agency were merged into the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom on 1 January 2019.
