Log in to My e-Services
After authentication, choose “Acting on behalf of a company/organisation” as your user role.
If a vehicle has been registered with both an owner and a holder in the Transport Register, it is the holder who is liable to pay the tax. As the first owner of the vehicle, you can submit an application to have the tax liability transferred to you. This form cannot be used for changing vehicle registration data, e.g. a change of ownership.
Use the electronic service (only companies/organisations) if
- you wish to transfer the tax liability for a vehicle you own from its holder to yourself.
- you wish to terminate an agreement on transferring tax liability.
Private individuals and others who cannot use the electronic service can print out and fill in the application form (External link) and send it to the address given in the form.
Follow these steps to apply for transfer of tax liability via My e-Services
Go to the front page of My e-Services
Select Vehicles and taxation under Drivers and other vehicle users.
Select Vehicle tax and services
In the Tax services section, select Apply for transfer of tax liability
Fill in the application form.
You can apply for an agreement on transferring tax liability or the termination of an agreement on transferring tax liability.
Submit the application
You may print or save the confirmation if necessary. The confirmation is also saved in My Activities.
After processing your application, Traficom will send a written confirmation to the email address or postal address given in the application.
