Notification and cancellation of a person in charge of use of a company’s vehicle
In the service, you can both give notice of and cancel the company`s person in charge of use.
The company must declare the person in charge to the Transport Register, if a natural person is not entered in the register as the holder of the company's car. The notification for a person in charge of use is made thoroughly - one business ID can only have one person in charge of use. A notification made of a new person in charge of use replaces the previously declared person in charge of use.
There is no need to notify of a person in charge of use for a business name.
The person in charge of use must be of age, live in Finland, and have the information on the drivers of the car or be the primary driver of the car without being the owner or holder of the vehicle. The person in charge must have at least a category B driving license.
Notification and cancellation of a person in charge of use
The company can notify or cancel the person in charge in the Organisation information section of Traficom’s My e-Services. Consent must be obtained from the person prior to submitting the notification.You can make the notification if you are a representative of the company that has been granted the Maintenance of transport operator data and permits mandate in the Suomi.fi authorizations. Notification and cancellation of a person in charge of use is not yet possible for users of the Finnish Authenticator Identification Service. The person in charge of use can notify of the cancellation of their role in the Organisation information section of Traficom’s My e-Services. An email is sent of the notification to the email address of the organisation’s contact person, if the organisation has entered such a person in the Organisation information section of My e-Services.
Information about the person in charge is needed for automatic traffic monitoring. A traffic penalty fee is imposed on the owner, holder, temporary user or person in charge of use entered in the register. For company-owned cars with no natural person entered in the register as the holder, the traffic penalty fee is imposed on the person in charge of use.
