It is not necessary to pay a fuel fee for e.g. mobile machinery and work machines mounted on a vehicle chassis, without any other bed, tank or other cargo space directly related to the task of the work machine.

What is a mobile machinery?

The vehicle category of a mobile machinery is MTK. They include e.g. shovel loaders, forklifts, reach stackers, boom cranes and excavators.

FUEL OIL CAN BE USED IN A MOBILE MACHINERY WHILE

  • working at the work site. 
  • carrying out transport due to its purpose of use at the work site.
  • carrying out transport with a work machine instead of a trailer. Maximum tank size: 2 m³
  • moving a work machine from one work site to another. 
  • transporting your own fuels and lubricants.
  • moving a work machine to maintenance or a tank, for example.

Please note! You cannot pay a daily fee for a mobile machinery or a tractor with centre pivot steering operated by means of hydraulic pressure.

When is a tractor equipped as a mobile machinery?

A tractor is considered to have been equipped as a mobile machinery when a machine or device intended to be powered by it has been connected to the tractor, such as:

  • a bulldozer blade or snow plough
  • a snowblower
  • a loader, digger, brushing device or sand spreader
  • a gritting trailer
  • a plough, drag or harrow
  • a vibrating roller
  • other similar tool
  • if the tractor is used to power e.g. a compressor, pump, mill or circular saw.

A tractor to which a trailer has been connected is not considered a tractor equipped as a mobile machinery.
