The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom strives to guarantee the accessibility of its service in compliance with the Finnish Act on the provision of digital services 306/2019.
This accessibility statement applies to the Airspace application.
Compliance status
The Airspace application is partially compliant with the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. Any exceptions applied to the requirements are mentioned below.
Non-accessible content
The Airspace application is a map application. The content specified below is non-accessible, as the applicable legislation does not cover the content of map applications.
General
- Screenreader users are not always provided with clear feedback on the status of the system. (WCAG 4.1.3)
- The website has three pages, but they all have the same page title. (WCAG 2.4.2)
- The website does not scale well to screens of different sizes or when resizing the text. (WCAG 1.4.10, 1.4.4)
- There are shortcomings in the programmatic markings of the page structure. (WCAG 1.3.1)
Language menu
- The language menu cannot be used with a keyboard alone. (WCAG 2.1.1)
- There are shortcomings in the programmatic markings of the language menu, which may hinder its use with screenreaders. (WCAG 1.3.1, 3.1.2)
Front page
- The anchor link on the front page does not work. (WCAG 2.4.4)
- The instructions only reference the visual locations of functions. (WCAG 1.3.3)
Map areas
- No clear feedback or correction suggestions are provided on invalid values. (WCAG 3.3.1)
- The calendar element cannot be used with a keyboard. The calendar field accepts manual input, but the date must be entered in an exact format (dd.mm.yyyy). (WCAG 3.3.1, 3.2.1)
- The programmatic markings of the map area check boxes and buttons are not fully compliant with conventions, but function correctly. (WCAG 1.3.1)
My areas table
- The My areas table opens below the Download AIXM section when you click on the Show my areas section, but this is not very clear when using a screenreader. (WCAG 1.3.1, 1.3.2)
- The table fields do not have identifying labels when editing the table data. (WCAG 1.3.1)
Importing a coordinate list
- The importing of a coordinate list is carried out via a dialogue window that opens on top of the content. The dialogue window is located before the main content, making it challenging to find with a keyboard. (WCAG 2.4.3)
