Valvomme EUn data asetuksen noudattamista Suomessa. Voit olla meihin yhteydessä, jos sinulla on kysyttävää asetuksen soveltamisesta tai epäilet rikkomusta.

Traficom’s role in supervising the Data Act

We act as the main competent authority for the Data Act in Finland and as the data coordinator. This means that you can contact us in all matters related to the application of the Data Act and suspected infringements.

If the matter falls within the competence of another authority, we will forward it accordingly. Information obligations concerning consumers are supervised by the Consumer Ombudsman. Compliance with legislation on the protection of personal data is supervised by the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman also in connection with the application of the Data Act.

When can you contact Traficom

You can contact us, for example, if you do not gain access to data generated by your device, even though you are entitled to it under the Data Act.

Such a situation may be that you do not receive the data directly from the device or from a related service and the data holder refuses to provide the data.

How to submit a complaint

When contacting us, describe as clearly as possible which device the matter concerns. Also indicate who manufactured the device, which data you have requested and what kind of communication you have had with the data holder.

This helps us to process the matter more smoothly.

Handling of complaints within the EU

We handle complaints concerning operators established in Finland. However, you may also submit a complaint to us regarding an operator established in another EU Member State.

We will determine the Member State of establishment and transfer the matter to the competent authority of that country. At the same time, we act as a contact point between you and the authority handling the matter.

In Finland, you can deal with authorities in Finnish or Swedish. If you wish, you may also use English.
