A radio licence must be acquired when using radio transmitters operating in these channels.
Traficom complies with the following principles when granting licences:
- The licence is granted for all of the band's channels by frequency band (band 2, 3, 4 or 5)
- The channels are in common use and they may only be used for speech transmission
- The channels may be used only by mobile radio equipment
- The radiation power of the radio transmitters on these channels must not exceed 5 W (ERP)
- In the 150 MHz frequency band (band 2) the channel width is 12.5 kHz, and in other frequency bands it is 25 kHz

A radio licence must be acquired when using radio transmitters operating in these channels. Traficom complies with the following principles when granting licences:
- the channels are intended to be used only for communication intended for lifting control in connection with professional, trade or business operations;
- the channels are granted for use throughout Finland;
- the channels are in common use;
- the channels are allowed only for mobile radio telephones;
- the channels are allowed only for speech transmission;
- the radiated power of the radio telephones operating in these channels must not exceed 1 W (ERP);
- the channel width is either 25 kHz or 12.5 kHz, and determined on the basis of the centre frequency;
- the licence is granted for all 18 channels;
- the radio transmitters that are used must must meet the relevant requirements.
