Traficom guides the providers of audio-visual content services and supervises that they comply with the accessibility requirements laid down by law.
Traficom collects quantitative data on the audio-subtitling and subtitling services provided each year and publishes the data on its website. See the annual statistics (External link).
The quality of subtitles was assessed for the first time in the spring of 2022. Based on the review, the channel Nelonen was reprimanded for the quality of its subtitles. See the decision on the quality of subtitles on Nelonen (External link).
All providers of audio-visual content services established in Finland are required to submit action plans on measures to promote accessibility and reports on the promotion of accessibility. See the summary of the action plans (in Finnish)
