The electronic transport services based on the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom’s secure e-Authorization system and the digital certification process used in cases of change of ownership will once again be available around the clock as normal.
The secure e-Authorization system provides a base for the electronic transport services (External link) , which are:
- Vehicle registration services except for the subscription service for vehicle registration certificates
- Vehicle taxation services
- Watercraft registration services and customer verification transactions
- Driving licence services
- Professional competence services (applications for medical driving dispensations and maritime registrations)
- The disabled parking permit service
- The survey and inspection service for watercraft
There is in addition a digital certification service
Other Traficom electronic transport services will be developed prior to their launch and, for example, information on vehicle tax payments or technical information on vehicles can be requested from the Traficom customer service facility (External link) mainly during office hours.
Information on watercraft and aircraft can be requested by email (tietojenluovutus(at)traficom.fi) or over the telephone from the information unit via the Traficom switchboard.
The electronic services based on Traficom’s secure e-Authorization system were available part of the time at the start of the year from 08.00 to 18.00, but now normal hours have been resumed and the service is available around the clock.
