The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom will ensure interference-free communications for event organisers and media as well as Finnish and international audiences at Lahti Ski Games, set to take place in Lahti from 28 February to 1 March 2020.
Media outlets covering the Games need to be assigned frequencies for producing programmes and distributing TV broadcasts, while participating teams rely on radio telephones for their internal communications. Wireless communications also serve the Games’ organisers and audience.
Traficom has prepared for the event by coordinating the use of frequencies and granting the necessary radio licences.
Traficom’s specialists will also be responsible for resolving any interference issues quickly to ensure effective communications.
