Traficom issues the transport licences and international transport permits required for freight transport and passenger traffic by road. Community licence gives the right to carry out freight transport within EU, EEA and Switzerland. For passenger traffic within EU, EEA and Switzerland in addition to community licence a regular service permit is required for regular services and EU journey form is required for occasional passenger traffic. The permits required for international freight transport and passenger traffic depend on the destination of the transport.

* Bilateral permit for Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan authorizes for both freight transport and occasional passenger traffic.

** Kosovo is not a contracting party in the Interbus agreement but allows passenger transport carried out with the Interbus journey forms.

CEMT permit is not required for transport within the European community. Within the community's area the Community licence is sufficient.

If you are using a CEMT permit you do not need a bilateral permit or third-country permit and vice versa.
