Once the application for a radio licence has arrived at the agency, the first phase consists of checking the customer’s information from electronic systems and registering the application.

When the actual processing starts, the customer is asked to provide any specifications to ensure that the application contains all the necessary technical data.

If the customer has applied for permission to use frequencies that require case-specific interference reviews, the licence cannot be issued without conducting frequency planning.

In some cases, international agreements and agreements made with neighbouring countries require that frequencies with planned use near territorial borders are coordinated with the countries that are determined as affected areas in the agreement. In these cases, all parties must agree to the frequencies through frequency coordination before they are taken into use.

Finally, the radio licence is approved and supplied to the customer.
