In the fall of 2023, in connection with standardization, EASA has given Traficom an observation, as a result of which Traficom must in the future mark additional FI privileges on licences like other member countries.

The existing additional privileges are still valid until the end of the validity of your current FI rating, i.e. the additional privileges must be notified to Traficom in connection with the next extension or renewal of the validity of the FI rating, in which case they will be added to the licence. Newly granted additional privileges must be applied for in the licence as of 1 March 2024, according to the instructions. The flight instructor rating (FI) entitles you to give flight instruction in accordance with the privileges according to section FCL.905.FI, when the required conditions are met.
In accordance with the previous policy recorded on 17 August 2016, the additional privileges in question have to be entered in the flight log written by FIFI. You must also be able to prove previously acquired additional privileges when adding the privilege to the licence
