Railway vehicles

Railway vehicles may only be used on the rail network or its parts if they have been authorised for use and registered. Traficom may authorise vehicles and vehicle types to be used in Finland or individual vehicles that conform to a previously authorised vehicle type. Vehicles that are intended to be used in more than one EU country must be authorised by the European Union Agency for Railways (ERA).
