This page includes questions and answers about flight operations reports.
Question: Can I submit a flight operations report after the deadline?
Answer: The data collection system for flight operations reports is closed on the deadline date so that we can compile, visualise and publish the statistics on our website. Unfortunately, we cannot record reports submitted after the deadline because it is difficult to add data from individual reports to the statistics once they have been compiled.
Question: I have mistakenly reported an incorrect value for a wrong type of operation. What should I do?
Answer: You can send the correct information and the aircraft registration by email at tiedonhankinta (at) traficom.fi. We can manually correct the information. Alternatively, you can submit a new flight operations report for the same aircraft. If we receive two reports for one aircraft, we will only consider the latest one.
Question: I wish to submit a flight operations report for an aircraft sold abroad in the summer of 2024. Because I no longer have the journey log book for the aircraft due to the sale, I only have knowledge of the hours flown up until the summer, not the total number of hours and landings. Can I still submit a report?
Answer: You can report the 2024 flight hours that you are aware of as usual and enter the value 1 for the total number of hours and landings.
Question: I do not know the total number of landings by the aircraft, but the information is required on the form. Should I report an estimate of the total number of landings?
Answer: If you do not know the total number of hours or landings, you can enter the value 1.
Question: Why does the form not accept the flight hour value of 8.25 h?
Answer: Hours must be rounded up or down to the nearest whole number.
Question: I tried to submit a flight operations report, but the system gave me an error message. Was the report submitted successfully?
Answer: You can enquire about submitted flight operations reports by email at tiedonhankinta (at) traficom.fi. Remember to include the aircraft registration in your message.
