The new Road Traffic Act brings some changes to traffic regulations concerning mopeds.
- Outside of built-up areas, mopeds must be driven on the shoulder or on the edge of the carriageway if this is possible without any hindrance.
- Outside of built-up areas, mopeds turning to the left may continue driving on the right side of the road and drive across an intersecting carriageway. However, they may not turn left until this can be done without preventing other traffic and endangering safety. They must leave the intersection on the right-hand side (i.e. do a right-angle turn).
- Towing using a moped is prohibited if it would impede driving or cause danger to other road users.
- Changes have been made to some traffic signs concerning mopeds.
