Register as a DNS service provider
Register if you provide name services or recursive resolver services for domain names and you are not a .fi registrar.
When you can register using this form
This form is intended for DNS service providers that are not .fi registrars.
In this context, a DNS service provider means a service provider that provides, for domain names:
- authoritative name services, i.e. services that maintain and distribute the official DNS records of a domain name
- publicly available recursive resolver services, i.e. services that retrieve answers on the user's behalf from other name servers and cache the results.
If you are a .fi registrar, submit your notification by logging in to the fi domain name service.

Use this form if you are a DNS service provider and you are not a .fi registrar.
- Step 2
Complete the notification
State whether you provide authoritative name services or publicly available recursive resolver services for domain names.
Provide the following:
- the operator's basic details, address and contact details, and details of the main establishment
- any other establishments in the EU
- the Member States in which you provide the service
- whether you participate in a voluntary information-sharing arrangement under section 23 of the Cybersecurity Act (124/2025)
- name servers; at least one name server.
