The recommendations define the interface between the provider of a strong electronic identification means and the identification broker service provider using the OIDC protocol (OpenID Connect). By legal nature, the descriptions are Traficom's recommendations helping operators to create interoperable systems.
The recommendations take into account the minimum set of data that must be relayed at interfaces between operators and the relevant telecommunications encryption requirements as set out in the Traficom Regulation M72B/2022 on Electronic Identification and Trust Services.
The interface descriptions are only available in English to ensure their wide use and to avoid different interpretations of different language versions. The key elements of the descriptions are the same, and they can also be applied in interfaces between the identification broker service and an electronic service.
