Apply for a taxi, goods or passenger transport licence document to replace a lost or destroyed document

You can apply for a transport licence document to replace a lost/destroyed document. The replacement licence will be granted according to the period of validity of the original licence.

    You can apply for a taxi, goods or passenger transport licence document to replace a lost/destroyed document online in My e-Services under the section road traffic transport licences. The licence number of an earlier licence will change when granting a new licence document.

    In matters related to transport operations, a natural person selects ‘Personal services’, while a legal person should choose ‘Acting on behalf of a company/an organisation’. This means that a natural person as an applicant or a licence holder always acts as an individual, not as a representative of their company operating under a business name. Only a person with the right to represent the transport company either with an authorisation or without a separate authorisation based on their role recorded in the Finnish Trade Register may act on behalf of a company in the service.

    E-services for transport and Suomi.fi authorisations

    The application fee of EUR 100/per licence document is paid in the service. The payment will not be returned even if the permit is denied or the application is cancelled.

  • Step 2

    You will receive the decision by post

    You will receive the licence document by post within approximately 3 weeks of submitting the application. Requests for information and clarifications concerning the application affect the total processing time.

You can print out and fill in the licence application form and send it with possible accompanying documents to the following address: Finnish Transport and Communications Agency (Traficom), Transport licences, PO Box 320, FI-00059 TRAFICOM, Finland.

The application fee of EUR 110/per licence document will be charged after the decision has been made. The fee will not be returned even if the licence is denied or the application is cancelled.
