Type approvals of non-EASA aircraft
Commercially manufactured aircraft that are subject to national regulation and have been entered in the Finnish transport register must meet Finnish airworthiness requirements. The requirements applicable to ultralight aeroplanes and gyroplanes have been laid down in Aviation Regulation AIR M5-10.
An aircraft type is issued a type approval once the applicant has sufficiently demonstrated in a Ulkoinen verkkopalvelu. that the relevant requirements are met. The type certificate is usually applied for by the importer of the aircraft type in question.
