Accessibility statement for the accessibility statement tool

Traficom aims to guarantee the accessibility of its web service in accordance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services 306/2019.

This accessibility statement applies to the Accessibility Statement tool.

Accessibility status

The web service partially meets the Level AA requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. Non-compliances with the requirements are mentioned below.

Non-accessible content

The content mentioned below is not accessible for the following reasons: Non-compliance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services 306/2019.

Visuals

  • Contrasts: The * character has been used on the form, and its contrast is not always sufficient. The contrast of the clear icon in the date entry fields against the background is not sufficient. (WCAG 1.4.3, 1.4.11)

Structure

  • Text alternatives: The text alternative for the Traficom logo does not fully contain the text visible in the logo. The text alternative for the clear button in the date entry fields is in English. (WCAG 1.1.1, 2.4.6, 4.1.2)
  • Headings: Headings on the form are presented using bold text only. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • Correspondence between programmatic and visual implementation: There are deficiencies in the programmatic marking of some lists. (WCAG 1.3.1)

Form elements

  • Purpose of fields: The purpose of the Form filler's email field has not been defined, making it impossible for the user to utilize automatically provided information (autofill). (WCAG 1.3.5)
  • Form groups: Not all form groups are programmatically marked or named. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • Additional information: It is not possible to discover the additional information of the fields using a screen reader in browse mode. (WCAG 1.3.2)
  • Date entry: After entering a date, the enter key must be pressed, which the user is not instructed about. The visible label of the date entry fields and the accessible name do not always match. (WCAG 2.5.3, 3.3.2)

Element-specific observations

  • Accessibility status group: When a selection is made, additional text appears below the group, which is not automatically read via a screen reader. (WCAG 4.1.3)
  • Add new and delete buttons: The identically named "Add new" and "Delete" buttons cannot be distinguished from each other at all with a screen reader. (WCAG 2.4.6)
  • Error summary: The programmatic name of the error summary area is non-descriptive. (WCAG 2.4.6)
  • Language menu: After changing the language, extra information is conveyed via the screen reader. (WCAG 4.1.3)
