Accessibility statement for GNSS/GPS interference

Traficom aims to guarantee the accessibility of its digital services in accordance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services 306/2019.

This accessibility statement applies to the GNSS/GPS interference system.

Accessibility status

The web service partially meets the Level AA requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. Non-compliances with the requirements are mentioned below.

Non-accessible content

The content mentioned below is not accessible for the following reasons: Non-compliance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services 306/2019

 Visuals

  • Contrasts: There are insufficient color contrasts in the form fields on the website. (WCAG 1.4.11)
  • Text resizing: When zooming the browser to 200%, some of the content overlaps. (WCAG 1.4.4)
  • Scalability: Not all content of the service scales readably on a screen that is 320 CSS pixels wide. (WCAG 1.4.10)

Structure

  • Text alternatives: There are deficiencies in the text alternatives for visual elements. The text alternative does not always contain the text visible in the image or it is not descriptive. (WCAG 1.1.1, 2.5.3, 4.1.2)
  • Headings: Each page has two main headings at the H1 level. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • Tables: Sorting column headings is not announced via a screen reader. Column headings in the table on the GNSS Event History page cannot be sorted using assistive technology. (WCAG 1.3.1, 4.1.2)
  • Correspondence between programmatic and visual implementation: Heading-value pairs are not programmatically presented. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • Language menu: The language menu is named only in Finnish, and the language of the language choices has not been defined. (WCAG 2.4.6, 3.1.2, 4.1.2)
  • Programmatic role: Some buttons that open a dialog are programmatically marked as links. (WCAG 4.1.2)
  • Notifications and feedback: The dynamic updating of the table is not announced via a screen reader. Feedback on button presses is deficient. Page loading is not announced via a screen reader. (WCAG 4.1.3)

Navigation

  • Keyboard navigation: Many interactive elements cannot be operated using a keyboard alone. (WCAG 2.1.1)
  • Programmatic marking of page structure: Extra navigation regions are presented in the header. The menu opening from the mobile menu is not marked as a navigation region. The names of the navigation regions are not descriptive. (WCAG 1.3.1, 2.4.6)
  • Focus order: The focus order does not always proceed in a logical sequence. The title of some dialogs is included in the keyboard focus order. (WCAG 2.4.3)
  • Page titles: The page title does not describe the purpose of the page, but is identical on every page. (WCAG 2.4.2)
  • Page changes: After a page change, the name of the new page cannot be determined via a screen reader. (WCAG 2.4.3, 4.1.3)
  • Multiple routes: It is only possible to reach different pages via a single route. (WCAG 2.4.5)

Form elements

  • Form groups: Not all form groups are programmatically marked as groups, and the headings of the groups have not been bound to the groups. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • Date entry: A specific format is required in the date fields, but no format instructions have been provided. (WCAG 3.3.2)
  • Drop-down menus: The programmatic implementation of the drop-down menu is deficient. (WCAG 4.1.2)

Element-specific observations

  • Modal dialogs: Focus does not always transfer directly to opening dialogs. When a dialog is closed, focus does not move to a logical location. Focus does not remain inside the dialog. (WCAG 2.4.3)
  • Charts: Interactive charts are programmatically only images. They cannot be browsed or edited using a keyboard alone, and the information in the charts is not available in an accessible format. There are deficiencies in the contrasts of the charts, and information is presented using colors only. (WCAG 1.1.1, 1.4.1, 1.4.11, 2.1.1)
  • Email: The list within the email has not been programmatically marked. (WCAG 1.3.1)

The applicable legislation does not cover the content in question

  • The website contains map embeds that have not been developed to be accessible, as the applicable law (Act on the Provision of Digital Services 306/2019) does not cover map services.
